Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) Services for Violation of DOT Rules

Healthy Life EAP provides Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) consultation and services for our clients in the transportation industry who are subject to federal drug and alcohol use and testing regulations, under the federal Department of Transportation (DOT) rules Part 40. There is a very specific process that employers and individuals must adhere to when there has been a DOT violation that requires the removal of an employee from safety-sensitive work before that person can legally return to a safety-sensitive position. The service agent who is responsible for overseeing this process is a substance abuse professional, or a SAP. Our SAP Services team assists the employer and the employee with the DOT violation to remain in compliance with all DOT rules relating to this process, and all Healthy Life EAP SAPs have met the standards and requirements established by DOT.
