Sheila received a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a clinical concentration from the University of Maine and a Bachelor’s Degree in the Social Sciences from the University of Maine at Fort Kent. She has been a Certified Clinical Supervisor and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Maine since 1998. She has worked in a wide range of employment settings and been in leadership for over 25 years. Sheila oversees multiple Wellness programs for Northern Light Health, including Wellbeing for ME and Northern Light Wellness, as well as leading the Healthy Life Employee Assistance Program. She also has served as the compliance officer and chair of the Maine Social Work Licensing and Regulation Board.

Christanna Libby, LCPC

Christanna earned her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of New Hampshire and has been licensed in Maine as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor since 2005. Christanna has experience working across a wide range of employment settings and experience providing counseling to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families with mental and behavioral health issues. In addition to providing years of direct support, trainings, and consultations to clients, Christanna has 15+ years in leadership positions in small and large organizations.

Jen Ruhlin, LCSW

Jen received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan in 1997 and has been a Licensed Clinical Social worker in Maine since 2000.  Jen has worked in a variety of employment settings including multidisciplinary teams in hospitals, primary care practices, schools, outpatient practices and case management agencies.  She has extensive experience working with underserved populations, supporting both individuals and families. She worked as a Clinical Supervisor for many years and has devoted her career to helping reduce the barriers to mental health treatment. As a Healthy Life EAP counselor, Jen provides management/HR consultations, trainings, critical incident responses, and direct service to clients.
 

Heather Washburn, LCSW, CCS, Substance Abuse Professional (DOT)

Heather earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Maine at Orono and is licensed as a clinical social worker in Maine. Heather has over 20 years of behavioral health experience, providing counseling, case management and crisis services, as well as mental health and substance use disorder services in various capacities. Heather has been in several leadership positions in her career, directing and supervising social workers, substance use treatment providers and other behavioral health professionals. Heather is a Nationally Certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, and provides management trainings, critical incident responses, and direct service to clients.

Kate Stephens, LCSW

Kate received a master’s degree in social work in the Advanced Standing Program at the University of Southern Maine and has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Maine since 2016. Her diverse clinical experience spans school, outpatient, community, crisis, and day treatment settings, working with individuals of all ages and a wide range of clinical and social needs. Kate also has extensive experience as a trainer, delivering sessions for both internal teams and as an external consultant. As a Healthy Life EAP counselor, Kate provides management/HR consultations, trainings, critical incident responses, group supports, and direct service to clients.

Janice Gillen, LMSW-CC

Janice holds a Master’s in Social Work with a clinical concentration from the University of Maine’s advanced standing program and has been a licensed LMSW-CC in Maine since 2008.  She brings extensive experience from various settings of outpatient mental health, higher education, and human resources, and is nationally certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. As a Healthy Life EAP counselor, Janice provides frontline and management trainings, critical incident responses, HR/Leadership Consultations, and direct services to clients.

Ariele Worrall, LCSW, Substance Abuse Professional (DOT)

Ariele received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of South Florida. She is licensed as a clinical social worker in Maine, Florida, and South Carolina. Her clinical experience includes Hospice and bereavement work, as well as outpatient mental health and children/family issues. Ariele has been with Healthy Life EAP for over 8 years and assists with the coordination and provision of Healthy Life's Critical Incident Response partnership with the State of Maine by providing services to healthcare and frontline workers including trainings, support groups, and leadership consultations.

Martha Ellis, LCSW

Martha “Muffie” Ellis graduated from the University of New England in 1995 with her Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW). Prior to gaining her MSW degree, Muffie worked at the Augusta Mental Health Institute (AMHI) for 17 years as an LPN and Psychiatric Social Worker. Muffie began her work as an Employee Assistance Professional (EAP) 27 years ago and was a supervisor for nearly 20 of those years. Muffie provides a wide range of EAP services including short-term assessment/intervention, supervisor consultation, trainings, and critical incident responses. Muffie has served on the Maine Employee Assistance Professionals Association as VP and President, and on the Maine Commission for Mental Health established during deinstitutionalization in the late 80s.
